Employee Wellness Program

The California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) Employee Wellness Program is part of the Statewide Engagement Program, supporting the overall wellbeing of California’s workforce. We focus on five elements of wellbeing:

Wheel that shows five elements of wellbeing: financial, physical, social, community, and career with the CalHR logo in the center.

  • Career Wellbeing – You like what you do every day.
  • Social Wellbeing – You have meaningful friendships in your life.
  • Financial Wellbeing – You manage your money well.
  • Physical Wellbeing – You have energy to get things done.
  • Community Wellbeing – You like where you live.

The Employee Wellness Program offers guidance, training and tools to help departments build strong wellness programs and engage employees at all levels. Through statewide challenges, health-related events and self-guided wellness resources, the Employee Wellness Program empowers employees to take charge of their overall wellbeing.
