Retiree Long Term Disability Insurance
Important Eligibility Note
These benefits only apply if you are:
- An active excluded employee, and
- You choose to continue your coverage when you retire.
If you are already retired and did not continue these coverages, you cannot newly enroll.
Long-Term Disability (LTD) Insurance
- LTD coverage ends at retirement
- If you are already on an approved LTD claim when you retire, your benefits do not stop. However, the amount you receive may change.
Accident Insurance and Critical Illness Insurance
- If you are enrolled in these coverages while working, you may continue them after retirement.
- You must contact The Standard within 31 days of retirement to keep your Accident and Critical Illness coverages.
- If you miss this deadline, the coverages will end and cannot be restarted.
