Understanding Your CalHR-Administered Benefits: A Retiree Benefits Forum
CalHR is hosting a Retiree Benefits Forum on September 17-18. This event is designed for State of California retirees to learn about retiree benefits administered by CalHR and CalPERS to prepare for the upcoming Open Enrollment period.
Attendees will:
- Hear presentations from participating benefit representatives from Delta Dental, MetLife, VSP, Savings Plus, The Standard, ARAG and CalPERS
- Learn about benefit options and enhancements for 2027
- Have an opportunity to submit questions in advance for a live Q&A
Benefits administered by CalHR:
- Dental coverage
- Vision coverage
- Group legal insurance
- Savings Plus
- Supplemental life insurance
- Long-term disability insurance
Benefits administered by CalPERS:
- Health coverage
- Retirement coverage
Open Enrollment is Sept. 14 – Oct. 09, 2026. This is the opportunity for retirees to enroll in or make changes to their benefits and ensure they and their loved ones have the right coverage for the future. Changes will take effect on Jan. 1, 2027.
